Storage Questions
- Is the storage space heated or air conditioned??
No, heat and environmental moisture control are not provided.
- What weather considerations are there? Two factors need to be considered: Spring moisture and freezing.
- How does Spring moisture affect me?
The outside air is warmer and moister than the materials being stored inside. If the differance is dramtic enough, condensation will form on the stored goods.
- How do I combat this condensation problem? Do not store cardboard boxes or other moisture absorbing materials directly on floor; set them on plastic or other moisture resistant material. Cover fabric, wooden and leather furniture. Store clothing in plastic ontainers or bags.
- How does freezing affect me? Obviously, freezable liquids are going to freeze and may result in damage to your other stored goods. Also be careful of storing valuable electronics. Some electronic components are susceptable to freezing damage.
